WE'RE ADOPTING!
It
is official! While we have talked about adoption for a long time, it
was always a "one day" kind of thought. Now we can finally say that
things are starting to get real! After years of waiting for
our permanent residency to be approved and seven months of gathering
documents, we have finally turned in all of our paperwork. In
Guatemala, adoption is only done through the government and ultimately a
judge will make the decision on whether or not we are an ideal family
for a child. Our hope is in the Lord and we are trusting Him through
this whole process. Our next step is a home visit from the social
workers which will take place on October 22nd. Please join us in prayer
as we walk through this new chapter in life!
