I will boast in the Cross.

Today is Good Friday. A day to celebrate the death of Christ. This paradoxical truth is foreign to many, but oh how we who believe know that His death if worth celebrating. Through the death of Christ, we can live! The good news is that he isn't dead, but ALIVE!

Many people put their hope in the things of this world, but they are all insufficient. Put your hope in Jesus and the everlasting life he has brought you. "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Remember, today especially, how much the father loves us. Boast in the cross and celebrate our risen Lord!

recently traveled to Minnesota with the Whitesburg Baptist Church Student Choir. What a fun trip! (I must mention that we went by bus, not plane…22 hours there, 26 back!) I am very blessed be apart of such a great student ministry filled with high schoolers who really love Jesus. Aside from the concerts the students put on, we had the opportunity to serve at several rescue missions/homeless shelters. The gospel of Christ was proclaimed and many trusted in the Lord as their Savior! Physical needs and spiritual needs were met. We came to be a blessing and left feeling truly blessed. And of all the places…who would of though that I would get to use my Spanish in Minnesota?-but i did and it was so neat. Of course, you cannot visit Minnesota without taking a trip to the Mall of America, and that we did…spending 4 hours in that glorious place. God was honored from our trip and through the songs the students sang. Here are some pictures from the trip.

Minnespolis, Minnesota

One of the coolest things we did was work with the ministry Feed My Starving Children. We got to package food for children all over the world who are without a meal. When we were done, we packaged enough food to feed 55 children for an entire year! Check it out here

Enjoy this Eater weekend as we celebrate our high King!
